Showing Up & Finishing Strong

Reliability protects the whole station — show up on time, ready for a full route, and finish the route you accept.

Why you're seeing this: your attendance was flagged. A dropped or late route gets rescued across your teammates and leaves customers waiting.

Be there and be ready

Treat your start time like a customer appointment.

✓ Do

  • Confirm your schedule the night before and set two alarms.
  • Arrive early enough to finish your pre-trip / DVIC inspection and load before dispatch.
  • Call dispatch as early as possible if you'll be late or absent, so the route can be re-covered.
  • Finish the route you accepted; if you're low on drive time, call dispatch (OODT) rather than skipping stops.
  • Keep your phone charged and carry a charger so you're reachable all day.

✗ Don't

  • No-call / no-show, or dropping a route at the last minute.
  • Leaving the station without a full pre-trip inspection.
  • Going unreachable in the middle of your route.
  • Skipping stops to finish early — undelivered packages still hurt customers.
Real example: A DA oversleeps and doesn't call in. Dispatch scrambles to rescue 180 packages across two routes, pushing those drivers into out-of-drive-time and leaving customers without their delivery.
